Leaving behind us the bad whether, at the begin of the province of Cuneo, the horizon changes. A blue sky strip is opened in distance and dominates the candid snow Alps.
The hills of the Barolo are ready to receive us.
To the previewed hour we met at the farm holidays that will accommodate us for these two days.
The meeting between owners and CLC is lively as always: hugs and kisses between us; some growls, licks and race between the dogs; really a feast!
Then the convivial moment of the lunch, during which the President of the G.A.L.C., Mrs. Alessandra Bonfiglioli greets all the participants, in particular Mr. Enrico Degani, member of the Directive Council of the Club Czechoslovakian wolf Dog, Mrs. Angela Ricci, veterinary member of the staff technical of the club recognized from ENCI, and Miss. Eleonora Mentaschi, expert ethologist of behavioural problems of the dog. To the doctors Ricci and Mentaschi, the Association is honoured to offer the membership card of honorary partners.
The partner Rossella Bonfiglioli distributes to all the confection-test given to us from the company Nature Italia s.r.l., Fiano della Chiana (Ar) company that produces an optimal biological feed, without too many proteins, not containing OGM elements, perfectly balanced food for the nutriment and the health of our CLC.
In the afternoon starts the real stage. Doctor Ricci explains us the techniques of veterinary first aid: how to intervene if the dog hurts itself; in electric shock case; how facing the cases of freezing or the blows of heat; how to measure the temperature; what to do in case of snake bite and how to transport the dog so that the poison enters the circulation as little as possible; the gastric torsion, how to recognize it and to prevent it; the dermatitis, in particular the one called "red scabies".
Then doctor Mentaschi has illustrated us the mindedness of the dog: the meaning of hierarchy; how the leader must behave; how to communicate with the dog and how to comprise its language; the various types of aggressiveness and the various signals given from the dog; the more difficult problems to deal (fears, phobias, anxieties). Many questions were put to each one of the speakers that with large professionalism have satisfied the curiosity and interest of all.
The dinner took place at candlelight always with typical Piemontese food.
During the dinner it was introduced the photographic calendar of the Group for 2004 that it wants to be a happy conclusion of everything we have constructed in friendship till now.
We have also introduced others gadgets that will serve to finance the many initiatives of the Group, principally to conclude the 2003 with one good action: the adoption at a distance of Stella, female cross of German shepherd, living in Segrate at the dog’s house "Lega del cane".

With the favor of one splendid and clean sky, we move from the "farm holidays" to the land of Ilaria Viberti's family, our associate.
Here, in the field that they put to our disposition, " I Lupi ", a Voluntary group of the Civil Protection of Pino Gallotti has prepared a field of simulation for the search of missing persons in surface or under ruins.
Mrs. Giuseppina Folli, instructor/trainer and National President of the Group receives us and shortly illustrate us the origins of the Group, scopes and methodologies of search.
What it comes to us explained, then comes demonstrated to us from Mrs. Giuseppina Folli and its collaborators with their dogs.
All the practical tests have been extremely interesting and being involved, but those that mainly have catalyzed interest of all have been two: the search of "missing" Roberto Sammarco, than had hidden in the small wood close to the field, executed skillfully from Ardesia (bovaro of the Fiandre, female, 8 years); and an exercise of stay-down executed from Artù (CLC, male, 15 months) that it is remained in position in order of 5 minutes while its owner had hidden from its visual. FANTASTIC !!! The two days have been concluded with a delicious lunch in the house of the parents of Ilaria, the kindest persons, to which we must say thanks.
Is the hour of the leave. Our baggage of acquaintances is sure richer.

Others we are preparing for the future months, between all is the stage that it will be kept in Abruzzo where real wolf lives. But it is soon for the advances...
