Gaga’s Truly Subjective Manifesto
Author: Gaga, Translation: Rona (Mar 01, 2006 - 03:16 PM)
Other...
Cheitan z Peronowki

  1. My dog is a true darling - for me. It means that for ME he is the most beautiful creature in the world.

  2. I acknowledge that there are more beautiful Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs than mine. Thus, I don't feel annoyed or angry if somebody points out my dog's faults. For me he is the most wonderful dog anyway (see point 1)

  3. For the best interest of healthy human relationships I do not expect others to praise my dog explicitly and I don't have the habit of praising other people's dogs. I simply LIKE other dogs just like my dog does (this may change with time, though I hope it won't)

  4. My dog is not a rival or competitor of other dogs; neither in the category of wisdom, nor beauty, nor quality. He is valuable because he exists.

  5. Any dog show is a sport event no matter how big the size of the cup is. Taking my dog there to confront him with other dogs I anticipate and accept that he may either win or lose.

  6. Another CSV owner in the ring is not my enemy - it's not he/she who assesses the dogs, but the judge. Neither is the judge my enemy. He has the right to have his own taste and prefer certain dog type and it doesn't necessarily have to be my dog's, though of course this would be nice. The judge is supposed to know the breed standard but if he doesn't - I can't do anything about it. The fact that I decide to take my dog to dog shows means I accept the above rules.

  7. I enjoy competition at dog shows - there is nothing healthier than a good kick of adrenaline. However, irrespective of the verdict, after the show there is time for socializing among owners and playtime for dogs. This is the most pleasant part of any dog show. I'm prepared to travel hundreds of kilometers to participate in such events.

  8. Any help at dog shows, even offered to the potential greatest rival is a natural gesture within the code of "fair play".

  9. My dog does not HAVE TO be or do anything! He does not have to be faultless, the most obedient... even while others are watching and assessing him. Yes, I know! My dog sometimes does what he wants.... Every dog sometimes does, doesn't he?

  10. The choice of my dog to become a father of pups is the ultimate decision of the bitch's owner. It isn't my role to verify it and I won't feel bitter or hurt if the owner selects another stud dog, not mine. Which does not mean that I would accept every proposed match.

  11. I'm open both to advice coming from goodwill and to constructive criticism. Malicious criticism behind my back is considered by me to be disgusting.

  12. I assume that meetings and gatherings of CVSs owners result from common needs and intentions. That's why at such occasions I expect good atmosphere, not competition. No meeting should turn into a vanity fair.

  13. Good manners require that unleashed dogs should be under their owners' control - I don't approve of letting dogs bully the ones that do not appear happy with importunate company. Here I mean situations stressful for dogs.

  14. If you see that my dog is doing something he shouldn't be doing, tell me. Do not punish him yourself! (with the exception of Joanna, who has known Cheitan since he was a very young pup)

Cheitan z Peronowki

To recap: I'm very happy to have met so many CSV breed lovers. I'll encounter any contacts within the CSV society with great pleasure. And I wish others and myself that the relations among us are always full of joy and true goodwill.
