Our trip to Danmark Author: Karin (Mar 10, 2003 - 12:27 AM)
In the middle of February me and Brenna decided to join Pavel and Nancy who planned
a trip to Danemark. Main intention was to visit Peter Madsen and his two great
Czekoslowakien wolfdogs. I mean "our" Freja (Cassiopea Šedý
chlup) and Fenris (Flop Køivoklátský Atos). The traveling
was toilsome but we were lively chatting
and the other fourlegged part of our pack endured the time spent in our car also
very good. We could say that with exception of motorests where we ate and customs
officers was our life clear of some unpleasantnesses. On the way we stoped by
Silvia Pollow in Berlin other member of our "Šedý chlup"
family who had Alma. We spended the day with Silvia and her dogs Alma and Cina.
For me and Brenna it was also cultural expirience because we were by Berlin wall
and Check point Charlie. In the evening we spent very interesting time in company
of Silvia and her nice family. Our drive continued in the morning. Around four
a clock in the afternoon we were already at a ferry to the island Fyn. There we
were expected by Peter, Freja and Fenris. We
went directly to near beach to take a walk with dogs. Our females were enthusiasticly
sprinting on the coast while we were trying to regenerate us after the long way.
Then it had turned out that Peters home is an wolfdog paradise cause his garden
was huge and it included a part of wood. The dogs could freely enter and leave
the house. While Nancy was trying to get into the house to find some refection
all the time Brenna was almost always outside. A precious of all us became Freja
and she already seemed to be a master of household at the age of four months.
On Saturday came another owners of Csws. On the whole there met seven czechoslowakien
wolfdogs what I find guite high number for unplanned meeting. After the walk folowed
hours of discussions about our dogs and clubs. The day after we had to leave Peter
and his dogs. Neither me nor Brenna wanted to go so early back home but there
wasn't other choice.
During the back way we took Brenna and Nancy on the board of the ferry. That was
a new expirience for them. When I was looking in the sea waves I said to myself
: What a shame that so many nice, sincer and pleasant people live so far from
us."
