FAQ-en
  • Before buying a puppy, inform yourself about all specific of the breed, the best way is to visit some of renowned breeding station or directly at the Club of Czechoslowakian wolfdog.

  • We cannot recommend to buy a puppy without pedigree. If you want to help, take a puppy from animal house. It is necessary to realize, that puppies from litters without pedigree have parents, which were eliminated from breed and that it was done from objective reasons. Mostly for bad nature, bad results of x-ray examination for HDD or for another hereditary conditioned serious defects. Remember, that you will not be allowed to join most of breed events and to apply for a higher tests with a dog without pedigree, so your breeding ambitions will be without success.

  • If you are a beginner, ask for a help during buying your first puppy an experienced breeder.

  • Ask the owner of the breeding bitch to show you the pedigree of the mother and father of puppies. Both dogs should have listed in their certificates of origin the results of bonitation, results of x-ray tests for HDD and the confirmation of breeding status. At the same time compare both pedigrees, if parents are not from narrow relative breeding (if you are not sure, please contact the consultant of breed). You will avoid possible troubles in future.

  • In case of some misgivings about the reliability of breeder, or the quality of offered puppies, please contact the consultant of breed of the breeding club or directly the Club of Czechoslovakian wolfdog.

  • During collecting the puppy control its health status. The mucous membranes has to be pink, the eyes, nose and ears without discharge, the skin without parasites. The puppy also has to be without a signs of vomiting and diarrhea. Ask the breeder, how often and which kind of food is the puppy feed.

  • Control the tattoo. In case, that the puppy was vaccinated, in the Vaccination certificate must be written the date of the next vaccination. Ask how many times was the puppy treated against endoparasites and which kind of helminth remedy.

  • If the pedigree are not yet made out, agree with the breeder on the date and way he will give you it.

  • Agree on the price for puppy always before the collecting and ask the breeder, what exactly is in the price for puppy and what is not.

  • The last advice is : be aware of buying a puppy from traders, middlemen and dog dealers.
