Working lines and showlines

Howl from me to!!
This is also my first "howl" at this group.
I can tell you, I do not got any CsW my self, but I was wondering about
something with this breed.

With both of my breeds they are split up in two lines.

Gordon Setter - Hunting/Show
Tervueren - Working/Show

I did'nt know much about this before I got a belgian, but I have heard that
with this belgian there is not just two different lines there are different
kind of types that they are breeding, small ones - big ones, nordic type,
belgium type...ect.

Does this the same way with Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs, are there a
workinglines and a showlines ?

Best Regards/Greetings from Norway,
Steffen

Thanks god not. Of course, that some people pushing the breed to this way. They
tell, that character is doesnt matter, mainly is the exterior. Maybe you know
this people, they "kill own mother for one CACIB for own dog" :o). This is a
reason, why I hate the whole system of dog shows, because its just destroyed
more dog races (examples you know very good sure :o) ). Shows would be a
presentation of our dogs and not the hunting the titels at any rate. Starting
the breeding "show line" and "working line" is a short way to the hell.

Luckily no :) There are just breeders that breed dogs with better or worse
character, that socialize the puppies or not. aso.... All you need to get a
good dog is to check out the parrents and make some tests to choose a puppy
with the best character for you....

The rest is in your hands.... ;)

Greetings,
Margo
