Default UCIS examination for civil defence and our rambo dogs...

Sorry for my english, but....

I' really proud to communicate that today the first 2 Czechoslovak wolves have ensued the PATENT with UCIS examination for civil defence (rescue dogs), finding the right person in wood or under destroyed houses and ruins.

I mean, not just barking that someone is there, but sniffing something of a person and finding exactly him in the wood, while a lot of hunters with dogs were around (we are in hunt time now), and false lost with dogs tracing all around and holidaymakers.

It was like to be in a carnival

This is just a part of the proove, that needs even crossing the fire, the water, sitting while chain saw is running and so on...

Anyway, CWDs have done the best result of the group, with a great flexibility and nose.

It was a day without air, so it was very hard for them, because they first prefer to sniff in the air than on earth, to start the search.
Second : really too many people were around, and dogs and guns and....

But even with this "bad" condition they have done the best.

The two dogs are:
Gawrosh Artù Passo Del Lupo (198/200 !!!!!!!)
Shinook Passo del Lupo

Gawrosh Artù is the father of my dog, and we've started doing the same. So we hope we'll be the third in italy to have this licence, to help finding people while earthquakes and natural calamity, and lost people.

It's great to see how they work, the way they do it, that is complitely different from other dogs.

It's hard to teach them stuffs, as you all know, but then when they know what to do, the way they work has noting to do with any other dog.

I always can see something of Willie Coyote with the ACME kits against roadrunner, because you can always understand HOW MUCH they THINK about a problem and how to solve it....

Ciao to all !

These are great news, congratulations!!
You seem to be in the lucky situation in your country to have rescuedog-trainers that are able to work with dogs that don´t fit the usual shemes, I envy you for that.

Regards Ina

OT SAR (Search and rescue) dogs.

Re Himmels post ing on it. CSV SAR dogs

Do any of you know of St. Bernard dogs serving as SAR dogs or in services close to that?

(JGot a question from a member of a norwegian news group)
