Default 2013.08.30-09.01 (PL) Późna - XII. Meeting of owners and fans of CzW

In 3 months comes end of August - that means it's time for Meeting in Pozna. Like every year we expect arrival of CzW owners from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Russia, Lithuania and Holland. And this time also from UK, USA and Spain... and this time exceptionally numerous. Again you will have a chance to meet breeders, owners and experts of the breed and training.. This is the only such chance in Poland to see so many wolfdogs at one place.. and to talk in peace what is uncommon on dog shows.

We officially invite you to Pozna - we plan competition, youth presentation and bonitation, training (obedience, protection and tracking) and of course a barbecue party and good fun ...

All details regarding the event will be published soon

Greetings and see you in Pozna

First what we will offer you this year (apart from the traditional memorial and bonitation) will be an introduction to mantrailing which will be carried out by members of K-9 Team Berlin (http://www.berlin.suchhundezentrum-nord.de/). So it is a must for all people who are interested in tracking and seach & rescue work...

OK, there will be some new people, so few 'parish notices' because there is always a lot of chaos on the beggining and I dont want that someone of you will feel lost ...

This is meeting for Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs, but other breeds are very welcome!

Parking can not be missed - you will see the mass of tents. You can camp in the meadow wherever you want (there are no reservations ). If someone wants to get hidden - it can camp far away from the road between the small trees. But before please check the place because we have some hornet's nests...
Do not setting up tents nearby such a small house because a Terrible Woman lives there which will irritate your dogs....

Please do not eat the deer, if he will traditionally come to the meadow for breakfast. Thats the village deer.

There is a (limited) amount of places to sleep on the hay (you can take dogs with you - there are quite comfortable stairs).

Outside will be set two toilets. There is also a place with water for dogs (and also for strong men who want to clean teeth). There is currently only one bathroom - in the house, near the kitchen. Unfortunately, time of use is limited (to avoid lynchings) ... For the long bath I recommend swimming in Nysa - the water is really clean...

At home we have full self-service - on the front porch there is always hot water heater and tea and coffee sets. Everyone does what he wants and how he wants. If you would like to drink something warm in the middle of the night - just go straight to the kitchen (there will be everything you need. You do not have to ask anyone for permission).
We carry the food to the backyard - because of the number of people there are sometimes stoppages, but no one will leave the table hungry.
Other drinks we take out gradually - to remain them cold Oh, we have to bring back the bottles - please place them back into the containers...
If something is missing and it do not appear for a long time please ask for it at our command center: the people in the kitchen ...

Information for smokers: in the radius of 15 km there's no store - remember to collect enough reserves....

You can leave the dogs by the tents (remember to leave them on the chains because the leashes in held for max 3 minutes ) or take them to the backyard. There is one "but" - in the yard you can let the dogs without a leash as long as they a) do not attack other dogs and b) do not attack people (especially children). Even if your dog is great take a look on him that nonbody else is mobbin him... You can take also dominant dogs but keep them on leashes and keep an eye on them.

Walks - in the woods I try not to pass the wider asphalt road because considering the amount of forest here it can be impossible to find you again... The dogs can play on the meadows but beware of the wild ... Especially wild boars are not afraid of dogs and they can serious hurt your dogs if they get angry.... Deer are also "trained" - they do not flee when they see dogs. Our voices and barking of dogs do not make them scary - so you will meet them from time to time ...

Contacting us - remember to have several phone numbers of people who will be here. Sometimes there is a problem with the network and it can be hard to reach a person...

(if you have any questions please write)

Finally we have "schedule" for our meeting... As you know there are sometimes two things at once (we have 10x more ideas, but there is no time for it during the meeting - we would have to make a summer camp to be able to make everything what we would like to do ).

If we have any questions during the meeting - please ask directly the person responsible for that part. They are best informed of what, how, where and when.

OK, well, here we go::

As standard on Saturday after breakfast will take place the X. (anniversary!) Hoky's Memorial. Subscriptions are free of charge, but you have to subscribe yourself during the breakfast by Pavel:

Remember that the number of places is limited - first come first served!!!!

It returns the tradition of releasing lanterns for our (wolf)dogs who are gone.

We meet on Saturday at nightfall in the meadow..

On Sunday we will divide us. Those people who are interested in the training should speak with Pavel.

And for the rest we have bonitation and youth presentation. The dogs will be measured and described by Lithuanian judge Daiva Rimaityte:

Few things at the beginning - bonitation and youth presentation will be held according to the new Lithuanian regulations. It is based on the Slovak and Czech regulations but it is deprived of their drawbacks. First it is not a qualification for breeding - Czech and Slovak bonitation are also bonitations "just for fun" - the difference lies in the fact that during the Lithuanian bonitation dogs do not get notes. Thanks to this there is no "pressure on the glass" that the dog must received the best possible note (even if he do not deserves it).
In addition: the evaluation of indexes is made basing on the original standards set by Hartl and Rosik. It do not take into account the recent developments of the Czech club trying to "smuggle" the acceptance of the German Shepherds indexes which recently causes the degeneration of Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs.
Also the character test is a bit different - more complex and suitable for dogs that are not trained for defense or prepared for it....

In this way it is easy to evaluate your dog and stick to his real qualities - it's actually the only bonitation where you do not need to pay attention to "political correct" codes and the owner gets card where are written the real advantages and disadvantages of his dog (according to the judge). This is seriously the only bonitation where you can enter without fear that a solid rating will hurt the dog...

Now, organizational matters: because the "paperwork" takes long time - so I ask you all to send me information about the dogs which you will want to present during the youth presentation and bonitation.
You can make the final decision and pay fee already on the spot - but I would like to fill out the forms already now as it is easier to put aside filled card then to fulfill an empty card...

Of course there is an opportunity to apply a dog even during the assessment but you would make my life easier if you would send me all the data already now....
