Hello,

I think there is no book in English anyway. Also magazins. Sometimes ther is an article in a magazin but not so offen.
The only book in the Czech language is translates on their own way in Italian an Dutch language.

Default why do you need english

why do you need books in english.. if you want to learn about the czechoslovakian wolfdog visit kennels in europe, i think most breeders will only be to glad to help, it is a big pitty most europeans speak english but the english can not be bothered to learn any european language, to learn about the czech wolfdogs only those dedicated will get a chance, the rest can look at the pictures and dream on. best regards paul

Hello, I have a book called "The new encyclopedia of the dog" by Dr. Bruce Fogle and it has the CWD in it. Its only gives you a small amount of information about two pages but it was the only book I could find in English myself. It helps as a start, covering history and other tid bits but you will get a better idea about the breed and weither you want to pursue more information. I agree everyone should try learn another language, Im trying to learn French.

One notice: you have to be very carefull because most of the books (expecially encyclopedias) are really horrible - the authors have no idea about our breed and usually the photos the publish are simply strange. For example if you take the huge encyclopedia written by Räber: the text is almost OK, the old photos also, but the new photos.....there is not a Wolfdog but a strange looking German Shepherd Dog on them....

Last time I found two new encyclopedias with similar errors. And the book written by Folge is one of them. If I good remember there is a nice Wolfdog on the main picture (Flink z Rosikova) but the dogs lying down are NOT wolfdogs!

I will take note of that, thanks Margo. It was still a thrill to see pictures in a book here in Australia. Most people have never even heard of CWD. It was a good starting point though as now I will travel and see them for myself.
