Nothing new! One of my students have already written an intercultural communiation seminar paper on the basis of three WD forums (i.e. language versions) :p:) It was really interesting, but I doubt if many would like to read it... Anyway, it's in Polish and I don't have copyrights to publish it. :(

Why has Solowolf been banned for voicing an opinion that may be backed by facts or not, I don't know, but a forum full of self congratulating people and breeders not backing up what they say and generally just bitching about dogs bred by other people is hardly one that is worth joining solowolf your honest and educated opinion will be missed

Solowolf was banned for his unability to choose the words, while communicating with other members. But seems to be back with other name, isn't he? :rock_3

pixie 25-11-2010 17:51

I think she chose her words well, and if she is back as someone else i for one is a happy bunny

I wouldn't mention the word "educated" in connection with Mr/Ms Solowolf.
Rude or ill-mannered would surely be better words to describe his/her way of communicating with others not sharing his/her opinion.

I dont know, but it was obvious solowolf was a woman with the opening line "I am the wife" I also think that she put her view on eloquently and fair I found the other users a bit rude to be honest, as are you with the mr/ mrs allegation or perhaps I don't know the full story, that being the case I apologise now

massimo 25-11-2010 19:51

Hi Chris,

Solowolf is still registered as Ronnie Winder, so I must assume it's either one of them, since the bad language and the inability to write a proper sentence is more than typical (probably for both of them).
Anyway, it's just "them" for me...

Michael

pixie 26-11-2010 00:04

Hi Michael,
I havent seen or heard bad language from them but words are just words. In this country they have done a lot for the breed and looking on there website will always help, so i have a lot of time for them and if they have upset people i believe it is because of there passion for all animals not just csv's rather than ignorance and rudeness to me deeds are what count and they have a sackful of them. Again I dont know them but just what other people who have met them tell me. I am not on here to upset people but to contribute and I think banning people with there knomledge and experience is just plain silly. my opinion but i am entitled to it
thanks Chris

michaelundinaeichhorn 26-11-2010 00:58

Hi Chris,

of course you're entitled to post your opinion...
Otherwise we ought to close any forum or discussion.
But the know-all and patronizing style of both the "Solowolves" was just annoying. Not to mention their language...
Never ever anyone saw them at any major CSV-event, and I've been to most of them.
So they're experts on the breed?
For me just pomposity and waffle...
Anyway, I think we're off topic.

Cheers,
Michael

Vaiva 26-11-2010 20:58

It is an off topic again, but if solowolf is a lady, writing these kinds of words, I am shocked twice...
Pixie, maybe you can tell us more about the current situation of wolfdogs in UK (sorry, I really thought you are solowolf with an other name...)

Simply... people still do not trust too much about wolfdog owner in UK... And I think it should change. Do you enter dog shows? Do you train your dogs? Eh, this should be a separate topic
(I've been in London this September and somehow forgot to contact you... it is a pitty... )

..... i find it very strange here in uk that wolfdog owners do not unite...they seem to disappear :-(
...i think until uk accepts fci things will not look up for csv's.
the only shows we can enter here are on the working dog register as we have mutts ;-)

i am training my boy at agility and in harness with my huskys ,i am also looking to start schutzhund and/or working trials.

i wish for the breed to be in the right hands here, but sadly i still think people only want a csv so they can say they have a pet wolf and not a working breed of dog :-(
