Your walks

I have done this on a couple of other forums, and it is always great to do on international ones as it is fantastic (although can be a little envious!) to see the beautiful places people get to walk.

I think I am quite lucky - Although I can only do this one once a week, it is not too far from me, and has just about everything a dog could enjoy - lots of bunny hunting, good sniffs - all open, beach and swimming.

I'm wondering where this is Tassie, not in the Bude/Widemouth Bay area is it? I'll take the camera with me tommorow & post some pics of our "regular" walk.

Nope - I am further down than that. The Pics of the Dunes is actually Perran sands - going down onto the beach. The Beach is quite large and luckily the coastal path bit we walk on has not cliffs down to the beach so it is safe for the guys to be off lead the whole walk.
The Main 'Tourist' area is at the other end, usually there are only a few hardcore dog walkers, and/or joggers at this end :)

I was having the same problem, it seems that you either have to upload as attachments or upload to another website (eg facebook or photobucket etc) & link to there.

Click with your right key the photo which has been earlier loaded on some other webapge (photobucket, picassa, etc.) and copy the address of the photo. Then click the only colour icon above the reply box on wd.org (5th from the right) and paste the address. Make sure you the letters "http" are not doubled. And that's it. :)

I too, Tassle, am jealous! Such lovely locales, and nice rural environments............. I like all the open fields, and small lakes I have seen here, and of course all the CsVs looking happy.

I must have another Vlcak soon too!

Tassle.. There are things in the shores near us - sometimes large shark sightings are reported - but it's really really rare for an attack to be reported (on humans). Our dogs don't go deep enough for any sharks to get them anyway..:shock:

Thanks for sharing everyone :D

It's a national park & therefore you must stay on the paths, you can let the dogs off the lead but you must maintain absolute control, also there were a lot of people, children & other dogs not to mention the 20 or more CSVs  + 1 she-wolf so we had them on the lead mainly, although they had a few chances to run about where possible. We met up at about 10:30 & set off about 11 and we were at the summit at about 2 or 2:30 and about another 3 hours down again by a different route. If anyone is in Czech for bonitations or whatever I can definitely recommend it, the views are incredible & you can come up (or down) from the Polish side too.

Tassle, I'm really jealous that you have the beach, so swings & roundabouts I guess. We always used to go to Bude (& from there round Cornwall & Devon) on holiday when I was a kid & miss the sea here a bit.

Also thanks everyone for the great pics, I guess we can all be a bit jealous...

Hi Rona,

Slightly off-topic & possibly a question for admin but might be useful info for others trying to post pics here, I tried to link to photos from my facebook page but they're not appearing, do you know if I can link to FB or do I need to use another site?

Waaaw, amazing :) I really salute you! The people really seem tolerant, when Vila is off leash in more crowded paths, people aren't as tolerant as they appear in your video :)

Yes Turin is a very nice city for dogs, I have rarely met people here who were afraid or troubled by River's presence or by the fact that he was off-leash :) Most of the time they are just curious and interested in knowing about the breed. In this particular park the police patrol seems to be ok with the dogs being off leash too...
