Spring at last!

Finally spring came to Denmark, 18c and strong sun all day long :grosscool
...and the dogs enjoyed the good weather just as much as I did, while walking in the nature for the most of the day.

Obviously the sky of Copenhagen can compete against Skagen :)

Did Uno loose some weight - or only fur?

I´m really curious how long someone can bear this winter-wonderland (except CsW and locals) :rock_3:)

Spring also came to Lithuania. Sisters Walkiria (Brukne) and Walmaj (Maja) are celebrating their third birthday :happy

Hi Josh,

Nice photos :)
I love snow, but this year in my part of Denmark we only had real snow for 3-4 days, the rest of the time, the snow melted as soon it touched the ground or a couple of hour after the snow it started raining :(
So I was looking forward to more stabile weather...

Hi Angelika,
I would`nt know how the weather is in Skagen ? But it is also far north from Copenhagen :)

Uno actually gained some weight and are a little too fat now(due to extra food for training for SVP), maybe you are mistaking Uno for Xtreme(Uno have a half ear, Xtreme have two whole ears) ? Xtreme have lost his wintercoat now, Uno is just starting to lose it.

Greetings Rolf

Yeah :fingers1
Brother of Uno called U`Tala and half sister Without ear Sirius is also missing part of the ear, so we have a kind of family trademark :)
But specialclub sounds good to me ;)

No, I know the "trademark" of Uno, but photography is often a bit misleading.

You are absolutly right, photos can often be misleading :)
...but then I have to ask : Do you remember Uno as a fat dog or do you think he look skinny at the photos ?

This is maby alot of topic but I must ask again...

Do not GSD and wolves have sharp teeth to :ehmmm I can not say I know any of them whitout a ear tipp, even if there probably is one ;-)

But maby CsV is even more hungry and lively than a real wolf puppy :?

Best regards / Mikael

I think in general wolves and wolfdogs have sharper teeth than GSD or at least my CSW`s have sharper teeth than my old GSD ...also the figurant in the German shepherd club where we are training every sunday, is very impressed by my CSW`s teeth(size and sharpness) ...but to be honest I think many other things than teeth have something to say in this matter, wolfdogs seems to play more "violently"(many people think my dogs are fighting for real when they are just playing) also CSW have very quick reactions(some times too quick) and an ear can easily be at the wrong place at the wrong time ;) ....my old GSD almost did bite my finger off by accident, as I wanted to remove some grass from his mouth and did not see that another dog(which my GSD did not like) was approaching us from the opposite direction of where I was looking and in same time as I put my finger inside the mouth of my GSD, he was barking and almost bited my finger off ...and we were both very surprised about the situation, because he was concentrated on the other dog and did not see my finger and I did not see the other dog and was concentrated on the grass in his mouth :)
CSW`s barks, growls and snap much more than GSD when communicating, so accidents can happen more easy ...at least this is my experience !

I did see some wolves at "animal planet" with missing tip of ear and if I remember correct one of the wolves at Prag zoo is also missing tip of the ear.

Greetings Rolf

Juniorwolf 05-04-2009 23:38

I did remember right about the wolf at prag zoo :)
Lobo the alpha male is missing the tip of right ear...
You can clearly see it here :

Look at post 13, photo number 6 from the top.

Neither fat nor skinny, Rolf, just a little bit more compact/broad (?) - in your language: bred - than on your photo no. 5. That´s why I thought he looses his winter-fur :)

Juniorwolf 06-04-2009 16:58

Hi Angelika,

Here is some more photos from the same day, maybe they will give a better impression of Uno`s condition at the moment ? :)
