My (Muddy) Kennelyard

My dogs started more to look like mud-dogs than Wolfdogs after playing in the mud of my kennelyard, I had to wash them both and dry them of before I could even think of bringing them in to the house :|

I knew I had to do something about it, but I did not know exactly what to do...

First I did think about getting gravel and after that I was thinking barque would be better, but barque was to expensive and gravel to hard and heavy :(

Later I did talk to a farmer about it and he recommended wood shavings, seep, effective and very very soft :)

This is how it became (10 bags later)

Mud-dogs with wooden camouflage ?

Hey Mikael !

hmmm.....interesting - seems to me that in future after strong rain you will have mud-dogs covered with wood shavings as camouflage...??? ( Please send a picture !)

No, seriously now - I think this is good idea for preventing the dogs turning into a species of tasmanian dirt- devils after rain...

And by the way - think you made really fine kennelyard !

So i tell it again -in my next life i want to have reservation for becoming dog at your place----:klatsch

Best greetings from Silvester / Germany

Thanks, this is my old kennel yard, the new garden enclosure is still not ready yet and I think I will finish it first to next summer...

Those are not my pictures but no, corn as in cracked corn? It's used a lot in feed, etc. It's hard and I'm sure it's a fun toy for many dogs - easy to dig in, it smells good, is good to roll in, what's not to love? :D
