Non-FCI?

Hello,

I noticed lately that many dogs in the database have been tagged as non-FCI / (!!!_NON-FCI_!!!) I know FCI is the Federation Cynologique Internationale but I'm a bit confused as to what this 'non-fci' status means for the dogs, if anyone could explain it to me that would be great. :)

Many thanks!
Wyla

It means the dogs don't have official registration papers - for different reasons - and can't be shown, titled or have litters registered.

Lovely, thank you! I assumed that was probably the case.

Is there any way to find out why a particular dog is not FCI registered, or would it be easier to try and contact the breeder directly?
