It would be the best if someone from Slovakia could answer this question as a first hand impression. We plan to visit the Canis Trail this year.
It takes place usually in October in Trencin (Slovakia). At the same time are being held three runs: 40km, 70km and 100km. There is a complete regulation regarding every type of run. For 100km there are following rules:
- the length of the track should be at least 20km long and the start and stop should be at the same place
- at least 2/3 of the track should be in natural environent (on grass, sandy or forest road, no asphalt)
Notes:
excellent: 8h 20min and less
very good: 9h 10min and less
good: less than 10 hours
not passed: 10 hours or more
The run is being held for max. 10hours since the last dog starts. After this time the run is cancelled even if
not every dog achieved the finish point.
A maximum distance between checkpoints should be max. 15km and at east every 15km there should be a place with drinking water for dogs.
PS: as for now the best results had Eskon Foncorda which made 100km in 6h 13min.
