It was a little bit different. The standard was written about 20 years ago (it was based on Rep z PS). And it was not changed a lot. It was only edited to fillful the FCI rules. And in 1999 there were some small changes. But typical CzW looks the same since begin on the breed club - over 20 years. And everything is very exact written there. Sure - there is possible to interpret it a little bit different. It was the reason why Hartl and both Rosiks wrote commentaries for the standard to tell us exactly what they mean.

Sure the judge can prefer different dogs. One will prefer dogs a little bit ligher another darker but white CzW means always disqualification fault. The judge can prefer shorter or a little bit longer dogs but dog with index about 120 will be always recognized as with disqualification fault. With legs it is clear - in must be 55% percent of height. Sure the dog can have a little bit more % but if it has 52% or less is is alway a disqualification fault. You can prefer dominant dogs or more calmer but dog with the tail between legs has aways "fault: wrong carried tail". The judge can prefer lighter or stronger boned doga but dogs with broad and deep chest have always untypical building.

Simply said: we can talk about different types in kennels f.e. "Kollarov dvor" and "z Krotkovskeho dvora" where the differences are very small. But when we compare CzW bred by Slovaks with CzW bred by French-"Jackal-breeder" than in the first case we talk about "typical CzW" and in the second about... "untypical CzW" and no more about different evaluation of the standard...
The same is with judges: they can have their own preferences. But they must respect all what is written in the standard. Or they will judge wrong and choose not typical representants of this breed.... If the judge choose dogs with long body, short legs, broad chest, narrow head and tail between legs than the judge is just showing his incompetence and....destoying the breed.
