I did read your comments. And I am so sorry that I can't reply in your language!
But I hope maybe someone will translate again!

As you could see 30 CsW's were tested and 6 of them were carrier of the dwarfism mutation.
In the meantime more CsW's were tested (like my dwarf Yazhi) and we wait for these results.
When we know more I will inform you. (And I will add them Here )

I know that there were dwarfs in several countries from different lines. And in the database of wolfdog were also photo's of "maybe dwarf" pups in your country. ("maybe" because the only way you can be scientific sure is testing! )
But last night somebody did remove all these photo's from wolfdog!
It does not matter from which breeder, it is not important at all where dwarfs were born. Because it can happen every one of us!
But with removing photo's, keep silence and denying, we don't solve the dwarfism mutation in our breed!!

So it would be good to test a lot more CsW's , so we can see how and how much it is spread in the CsW population.

On this moment the test is only available on veterinary university of Utrecht.
Some other labs also offer this test, but they send it also to this university (and it costs more

I realize it is an expensive test! But for example you can ask € 20 more of each pup of a tested combination.

When you want to test you can download the blood sample form HERE (as pdf).

Your vet can collect 4 ml EDTA blood and send it to:
Dr. H.S. Kooistra
Department of Clinical Sciences of Companion Animals
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht University
Yalelaan 108
3584 CM Utrecht
The Netherlands

After the test the owner receives the bill and a test result certificate.

Because not all vets will know the test, it can be useful to give them a copy of the article of dr. H. Kooistra en drs. A. Voorbij: Pituitary dwarfism in German shepherd dogs and Saarloos wolfhounds -Availability of a genetic test-
Here you can download this document as pdf file

When you have a big group there is discount possible.
For example: In spring I am going with a vet to the event of the German CsW club (show and bonitation)
There we will take blood for free. We have an arrangement with the university that: when we can collect blood of at least 30 CsW's, the test costs € 80,-
But then owners have to pay cash and we bring the blood next day to the university.

It would be great if somebody can translate the blood sample form and the article in Italian language and will/can send it to me
