One of the main differences between CLC and other breed are the eyes. They influence the head impression very much and it is the reason why the judges and breeders pay so much attention to it. Light (amber-yellow) eye is one of the showcase of this breed.

And another thing: there was always very hard to say which colour is typical and which is "on the border". In CZ more dogs have darker eyes, in Slovakian they like the yellow eyes. So it really happend that dogs with "beautifull amber eyes" in CZ get the judgement "brown eyes" in Slovakia... So some people in CZ suggested to prepare special colour range with different colours of the eyes. I think the judges use it by boxers(?). I saw something like this and it is really good idea because the judge can easily evaluate the eyes not basing on comparition with other dogs in the ring but on the objective basis. It's a pitty but people from the old board were against it so maybe now someone will try to bring this idea to the end....
