We also have cats and both our wolfdogs can get along well with them. The dogs understand, that the cats belong to the "pack". But other cats, for example on the street, they´d hunt, if they could.

Regarding wolfdog, I would suggest more that you go see some of them in real, before you decide to buy one. It is a very special dog, unlike any other breeds and it is not exactly the best choice for beginners. Especially the first few months, let´s say before the dog reaches 1 year of age, it can bring you many headaches. The puppy is wild, loves to bite and destroy everything, digs holes in the garden, will chase the kids etc. That is a fact.

It can grow up into loving family dog, but it requires a lot of attention, good socialisation and lot of time from your side. Do you have all that?
If not, go better for some lazy labrador.
