French couple Nathalie Delgado and Stephane Sophikitis moved to Autti, Rovaniemi in september with their two children. They now run their own sled dog business, La Piste Nordic, -Northern trail."

~"At the end of a secluded forrest road the visitors are welcomed by a pack of over 30 dogs.
Here a French family has set up their home. Since the beginning of December they have made sled dog safaries for customers, -especially for French tourists. Flatter terrain, and a long snow season attracted them to Finland."

~(Nathalie Delgado):
"The idea was born two years ago. We made a caravan trip across Finland in March.
We were hoping to find a place somewhere in between Rovaniemi,-Ranua, -Ivalo, and Kuusamo. And we found Autti."

~(Narrator):
"Since september, the home of the family has been an old buss. They sold their house and large barn in Southwestern France, and bought 14 acre forested land in Autti. The freezing cold weather has not scared them off. What has surpriced them is the friendliness of the Lappish people."

~(Nathalie Delgado):
"The villagers have been very hospitable. We've never met such friendly people. In France we were concidered hecklers. Here the villagers help us with everything and often invites us to visit them and comes here to visit us. We've even been able to discuss about everything; politics, farming etc. And in English!"

~(Narrator):
"The older one of their two children will start preschool next year. The couple are planning that the old buss is eventually going to be replaced with a house. They've also scheduled to build more of the nomadic Mongolian yurts that they have for housing the customers."

~(Nathalie Delgado):
"We are planning to settle here for a long time."
~(Stephane Sophikitis): "-For the rest of our lives. If everything goes well, we're going to stay here for the rest of our lives."
