Per,
"The Phylax Society" was a group of German fanciers who were combining
various shephard dogs in Germany (and wolf crosses).
The organisation was founded in 1891 and existed till 1894.
A few years later Von Stephanitz organized on this basis the Deutsche
Schaferverein.
