Salakaadot seis (Stop Poaching) is a campaign by the wolf action group within the Finnish nature activity and environmental protection organization Luonto-Liitto (Finnish Nature League).
Launched in 2008, the aim of the campaign is to fight the poaching of wolves and other large carnivores. The campaign takes a stand for a vital wolf population, and its main message is that the wolf is part of the Finnish nature and it is possible for wolves and people to co-exist in the same areas. Poaching is a very serious and large-scale form of hunting crime that should never be accepted, silently or otherwise.

Sign the petition to save the wolves! We are collecting signatures until the spring of 2011. The signatures will be presented to the Finnish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.

SIGN THIS PETITION AND HELP US SAVING THE SMALL FINNISH WOLF POPULATION!

Last weekend hunters illegally shot a radio collared breeding female wolf together with a young male (last year's offspring), which they had a licence for. It was strightly forbidden to shoot any other wolves than this particular young male, and especially they were told not to kill the radio collared breeding pair. Yet they did just that; shot the mother aswell as her son, and explained that they could not see the bright yellow radio collar on the mother.

PLEASE, SIGN THIS PETITION asking the authorities to handle this case of criminal hunting properly!
