I think there get some things mixed up, in a heriditary kinked tail the bones are not broken = fraktured but have an unphysiological form. You can get a kinked tail after a traumatic frakture but this of course is not hereditary.
Both has nothing to do with a tail that is carried not straight but with a bow in the end like in GSD.
I have never seen one in TWS, it is one thing that gets controlled of a VDH official in the age of 8 weeks and would get registered if xou would find it in a dog.

Yes, this be diferent - eksterjer: J tail ( like GSD tail) and broken tail - this broken cann be when puppie born ( genetic diseas) and cann this see in this control thime ( 6-8 weeks ) but be info - dogs who have this genetic problem when be litter control have good tail, but latter in 5-8 monts hes tail be ... broken.
In Lithuania all litter have pupps control - bite, testicle, tail- this make special people who make tatoo and litter control, and to this be and club control ( see anatomy - be pupps normal or pet's class)
And me important have dogs who have this broken tail when be adult.

Thanks for all who have info and send me this.

Sure, in this case a heriditary kinked tail is mentioned. In Lithuania, as far as I know, it is forbiden to use dogs with kinked tails in breeding, so it would be really important to know if such a problem with CsV exist or not.

Yes, the tails are checked but I heard so far about some cases where dogs with kink tails are still used for breeding. For years the bredders explained such problems by the puppies as result of 'rough playing' and other 'accidents'... Now it is already visible there are heriditary reasons. Some dogs were already removed from breeding and we have at the moment lines with min 3. generations where the same problems appear.

Here you have similar case described by Brussels Griffons:
http://www.griffonplaza.com/Health/p...ge9/page9.html

What is the problem: it is visible this deformation is heriditary. And
When the deformity is limited to the tail then it has no influence on the dog’s life, he can be a happy dog. But when that happy dog is used, as a stud his “little defect” can become much more serious for his offspring. Not only to the tails but also in other parts of the spinal column.

If you know any dogs with this kind of problem please inform us or the administrator.
If you are breeder - please remember: puppies with kinky tails are PETS. Please do not use them for breeding.
If you are breeding comittee member - please pay attention to such kind of defomarations by the puppies which you check.
