Par défaut What type of car do you drive with you CsV??

Planning for a potential future with this breed and my current cars probably isn't fit to drive them around.

So what do you drive to chauffeur them around in?

Hello and welcome to the forum

We drive a Japanese make pick-up truck - lots of space in the back! Whatever you go for, it needs to be covered (against the elements) but have good ventilation. Shadow now doesn't like to be inside a car because she sees the back of the truck as her 'portable den' and the front is for humans

The 2 are comfortable in the back of a rio? That makes me think - I was debating whether or not a SUV was totally necessary or would a family-sized sedan suffice?

Thanks for the replies, keep them coming! Definitely want to get a feel for the right vehicle

I don't drive but my boys favourite modes of transport are trains and tubes,we often get lifts in a cadilac which he hates!(Could be the leather seats) But he loves their open backed jeep

I used to drive a Honda Fit, and now a Scion xD..

I would suggest that if you are planning to do things with your dog that would require leaving him/her in the car, like perhaps at a trial or show, that you get a car that has enough space in the back to fit a 500 series crate.

As it goes, my Scion doesn't fit a crate, so I can't leave my CsV in the car by himself for any length of time. He helped me 'remodel' the insides of my Fit once when I did..

you might also look at what anchor points are available in the back. when we shopped for cars, we specifically made my car the 'dog car', (we also have a SUV but OH says dogs are off limited.. ) so it was important for me to have various anchor points in convenient areas - all my dogs ride belted in crash-tested seat harnesses that need them.

Michael,

Do they make these cages for other vehicles? We could do with a proper one.

Yes, they are not just for Volvo, so you can put them in (all) cars...

That cage looks great! Thanks for the great feedback guys

and yokidomari, after I've seen you fit Ghost and the others into your xd - it looks like I don't necessarily have to look towards a SUV for the right vehicle

Hey Morian, nice game with words ! I like "Wolfswagen"...!

You´re good in German language...

But did you know already that "Volkswagen" originally was only produced in a town named "Wolfsburg"??

So you had the right imagination....

Strastwujitje to you in Russia !
