Our puppies will be 8 weeks old this week and last week had a big adventure when they went to the vet to have blood drawn. These samples will go to Laboklin for DNA profiling and parentage testing and also to Slovgen for DM/DW/MH screening. I will post the results once I receive them...

Here are the little monsters looking none too worse for the experience

4 girls and 5 boys and hopefully some of them are going to look like their daddy, Yipon z Peronowki

We received the test results from Slovgen today. I have to confess to being a little disappointed, but that's nature I guess...

Here they are ................ (DM, DW, MH)

Calamity Jane ............. N/DM, N/DW, N/N
Cassandra .................. N/N, N/DW, N/N
Concordia .................. N/DM, N/N, N/N
Cybele ....................... N/DM, N/N, N/N

So only one pup is free from all tested and 2 pups are both DM and DW carriers.

We also had Boadicea and Beetlejuice tested for DW and MH - they are both clear of both.

In a way these results show how important it is to test full litters as the 'predicted' ratio of clear to carrier offspring from a carrier/clear mating is way out - for the DM results at least

Off to drown my disappointment in a bottle of beer now (once the little monsters have settled )
