Exclamation rabies vaccination validity

Hey all,

I have encountered a new problem with foreign participants at events in Slovakia.

In Europe, now vaccination against rabies are officially valid for 3 years. The problem is, Slovak authorities do not accept validity of vaccinations after the first year. I asked my vet about this and the reason is that there is still a relatively high amount of rabies in Slovakia, we have quite often outbursts in foxes and therefore we need to have high antibody titer in dogs.

So I wanted to remind everybody who is planning to come to Slovakia for exams, shows and youth presentations/bonitations, that they should keep this fact in mind. If your dog's vaccination against rabies is older than one year, you may be not allowed to enter the show/exam grounds.
