Hi, congrats.
But with all respect, as long as the dogs weren't judged by a special judge and all the dogs from Slovakia,Czech Republic, Poland or Germany (and other countries of course) weren't there, these titles are worth nothing or little this event being considered the world dog show. Sorry. No envy, honestly. Just my humble opinion. Michael Last edited by michaelundinaeichhorn : 11/07/11 at 16:57 |

an opinion it's an opinion and I respect that without any problem, you forgot only a little consideration, in the story of our wonderful race the 2nd world dog show with biggest number of Czechoslovakian Wolfdog booked. Not bad Ciao Maxi |

As always there are people who agree with the results and people who have different opinion. The fact is: dog shows have their own rules and they are always a bit separated from the "real life". Everybody who show the dogs knows it. Of course there is a huge difference between World Dog Shows (were most of the judges are allrounders) and Speciality Dog Shows when the dogs are (should be) judged according the breed standard. But - shows are for fun!
We should be happy that the winners are purebreed Wolfdogs. And we should be happy for the owners of these dogs (even if the behaviour of the breeders is questionable). Enjoy the show! Congratulation to the winners! |

The result does not bother me because I expected more from THE JUDGES.
IN A WORLD DOG SHOW ALWAYS HAVE TO BE JUDGES SPECIALISTS

That´s what Michael already wrote some postings before and me and Morian expressly agreed to him - It SHOULD be naturally for such a show, no question...But, as you see - it is NOT. It´s sad and Michael is very right with his opinion that these titles are worth nothing or little because of this. No doubt about it. Nevertheless I congratulate you , Alberto , for getting an excellent and 3rd. place for your very fine bitch Zoray ! Best greetings to Espana sends Uli alias Silvester from Germany |

I think for many of us living outside the original countries, especially further than Germany or Poland, have little or no access to specialized judges. So, really none of our titles mean anything. I will not get into the number of times a judge has said "Oh, your dog is so beautiful - but I wish his eyes were darker - and his chest, maybe it will get wider one day..."
But... The more our breed is exposed in and to the world, the more judges will, hopefully, take interest in our little breed. Hopefully knowledge and research about the standard and typical CSV will take root from that interest. Shows like the world show, or showing (for now!) in the US or Brazil or Thailand or Spain, maybe we are at a "younger" stage, with a slightly different motivation...I like Admin's response - much as it would be nice to see a specialized judge at the huge world show, a show is a show, and just that. I'm happy breeders and owners of the winners are able to enjoy a nice accomplishment - and hope breeding decisions of the future continue to look to attributes in dogs besides winning shows.
