Doubt's about the bonitation code
I see that in some bonitations have alone one VN, N or alone one - without the code A O P normally in the side of one " this code can change in the future" whats happen??

VN and N are notes from youth presentation. Czech judges evalute young wolfdogs by giving them a similar code like on bonitation but Slovak judges do this by giving notes like "promissing" (N - nadejny) or "very promissing" (VN - velmi nadejny). Besides N or VN the judges describe young dog and write it down in a short text - the description is not in the database.

I saw that in the bonitation the is made too the Index of height and the Index of format, how function this ? How is made the measures for arrive at the final height index and format index?? what measure tipe they make?? exemple: from the nose at the finnal of the tail, from the floor at the elbows... Is made some calcule for arrive at the finnal result? if yes, what tipe of calcule? I'm a little bit curious. :P Greetings Paula |

Hi, Paula
Index of higth is a ratio of the length of the front leg up to elbow (from the ground up to the elbow) to the higth at withers x 100. It reflects that desirable length of the front leg to the elbow is 55 % of the overall higth. Index of format is a ratio of the body length to the higth at withers x 100 and it should be max 111. Sona,
it's always an honour for us that you share your knowledge. I would like to ask aquestion about 55% elbow/withers. Is it an ideal value or a minimum? I mean, a value to far away but also too high (ex. 60 or 65%) is also negative? I think yes but I'm not so sure. Massimo Quote:
