Potential Wolfdog ban in Australia

As far as I know

They are looking at banning Wolf dog hybrids and anything that is like a wolf in looks. I know at one time they were looking at banning Large dog breeds due to the feral dog populations and farmers all up in arms about live stock being killed.

They also banned Savannah Cats which has sparked all this debate to begin with.

Australia has gone down the road of banning wolf type dogs before. In the 1950's to the 1960's we had a ban in place for German Shepherd Dogs.
I brought this issue to the board to try and gather as much info I can get to help prevent the ban of CsV, Lupos and Saarloos going into place.

So they're going to ban:

Akitas, huskies, malamutes, Klee Kais for looking like wolves?

Finnish Spitz because they look like a fox (many people used to mistake ours for a fox) and have a very wolf like temperament.

While I admit the livestock issue is an issue (we have an issue with neighborhood cats (pets and feral) trying to get to our chickens), I don't think it is a need for an outright ban.

A ban won't curb the issue with wild / feral animals nor will it deter the people who contribute to the issue, it will mainly hurt the people who are responsible.
