ciao Rosa, le prove di durata che conosciamo noi sono la 40km e la 100km che fanno nel Paese di origine.
There are three tests:
ZVP1 - 40 km
ZVP2 - 70 km
ZVP3 - 100 km

L' utilità di queste prove francamente ci sfugge.
There are different reasons for the tests: In the beggining they were made by the army. Hartl says the 100 km test with obstacle every 25 km was great way to find out dogs with ill hips (dysplasy and other problems). Simply said dog with serious problems will never make it. Sure now we can check the HD thanks to X-rays but to be honest I will quicker use a dog HD-C with good results on the 100-km run than a HD-A dog which do not passed the 40 km run... They made the test in the army because there is visible corelation between endurance and working abilities. Second feature Hartl describes is that thanks to the endurance run you were able to find our dogs with incorrect body, angulation and movement (what only very few judges are able to find out during the dog shows and there are many "Champions" which move horrible). While long test incorrect build dogs wear out their paws. For example if the dog has unharmonious movement because back legs have stronger angulation that the forelegs that the dogs will wear out front of the paws by the forelegs. Only typical dog will have no problem with such distances. Another reason why such test are very usefull is that they eliminate "moloser" CzW - none of the very heavy, untypical CzW is able to pass even 40 km run with the note "excellent". And none of them is able to pass 70 km test.

So you can see there are serious reasons why Slovak people have the 40 km endurance as one of the conditions for a dog to receive breeding rights. Also other countries are interested in it because such test "filter out" dogs which received the Champion title but which is hard to call "typical wolfdogs". Even in Czech Republic there are Czech Champions which would be never able to pass ZVP1 (40 km) and introduction of such test would increase the quality of the wolfdog. And it apply to every country....
