				 | The Princess of stray dogs

The story I wrote is dedicated to Algiz Lupi di Gubbio (Lost in Rome July 28, 2012), brother and first playmate of my Zaira, female of Czechoslovakian Wolfdog, that I adopted to the age of eleven months, three years ago. When I started to write the story of Princess (female one year old of Czechoslovakian Wolfdog), kidnapped by two shady characters who wanted to use her in dog fight to the death, Algiz had not yet disappeared. Princess with his particular intelligence is able to free herself from the prison where she was. During his escape, she meets four mongrels (Nameless, Billo, Gaia and Napoleone) who join it participating in search of his beloved human family was torn apart by violence. After months of ups and downs, Princess is able to return to home. I hope that this story is a good omen for Algiz and Valentina, its owner. The book is a special edition with 108 color photographs attached to most Czechoslovakian wolfdogs. I thank my American publisher who believed in my project and all Czechoslovakian Wolfdog owners who were happy to take part in allowing me to make my story also photographically. The book is distributed in U.K, at the following address: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Principessa-...915628&sr=8-21

But why a picture of my dog, taken by a friend of mine, is on the cover of your book? |

I explained to your friend what has happened and I have proposed two possible solutions. One of these is the replacement of the photograph on the cover with another, of certificated origin . michele

I wish to tell you two things: it is preferable to buy the book in italian link (it is printed in the UK) because at this moment costs 11 euro instead of 24. I changed the cover. The picture used is mine as well the two Czechoslovak wolfdogs present in it http://www.amazon.it/Principessa-ran...d_rhf_se_p_t_1

Congratulations on printing the book! Is it a complete fiction, or based on a true story? What are the photographs about? I do not understan Italian, but if there will be an English translation, I would like to get one too

Most of the photos were taken by Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs (I thank the Italian owners of the dogs who participated in sending the photos). The 4 mongrel dogs (Nameless, Gaia, Billo and Napoleon) really exist as well their stories that I wrote in the book. The missing of Algiz is equally true and took place in Rome at the end of July 2012. it is also true that the disappearance of these dogs is linked to illegal fights between dogs, to the death. I hope this will not happen even at Algiz. Michele

Photos of Princess puppy are those of Nefti Runningwolf (Italian champion of beauty, youth category), Zac the Wolf is represented in the pictures by Voice of Wolf z Molu Es (Italian champion of beauty), while Ashoka-dei-Navarri is the stunt of Princess when she meets Zac on the snow. The pictures of the four stray dogs correspond to their reality.

Actually, it's closer to 17 million here in the US...but (my partner is Italian-American) I can assure you most don't speak Italian anymore, just English...and maybe Spanish or French from school. Congratulations on the book!

				 | I thank all

I thank all of wolfdog.org English friends who have decided to read 'The Princess of stray dogs'. The English edition was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Elena (Italian-American), a professor in 'modern literature' who she has lived and she worked for 60 years in the Los Angeles area. So it's an Americanized English. I am sure that the story will not disappoint you. Michele
