Anyways, how do you take your dogs to the veterinarian or dog show? They have to show the teeth at such places, also let themselves to be handled and examined, and to be able to stand still. The bonitation does not ask anything else, than simple things, that the dog should normally already know and be used to.

Mirka zegt dus dat de tonsillen niet nagekeken worden, maar de kiezen. Vaak is het wijd opentrekken van de mond de eenvoudigste methode om dna te gaan of alle kiezen aanwezig zijn.

Trouwens, honden die naar de DA gaan of naar hondenshows moeten dit ook kunnen. Hun tanden laten zien, zich laten aanraken, stilstaan,... Op een bonitatie wordt dus niets gevraagd dat een normale hond niet zou kunnen. Elke hond zou dit gewoon moeten zijn.
