I thought the Czech Republic retained 'country of origin" status after Czechoslovakia split.

Also, remind me to verify things that my wife tells me before I say things like this and make myself sound like a fool.

Both the Czech Republic and Slovakia are the countries of origin as they did build the former Czechoslovakian Republic and Slovakia got the patronage for the breed after the separation.
